Due to overwhelming popular demand, Ambassador Theatre Group is delighted to announce an additional eight performances of Richard O'Brien's Rocky Horror Show at the Playhouse Theatre, London, from 21st - 26th September 2015. Tickets go on sale Friday 28th August at 10am. The initial 11 shows sparked such a positive reaction with the public, that tickets sold out in less than 72 hours.

Richard O'Brien said: "The response to the Rocky Horror Show has been outstanding; we're delighted to be adding more dates to the run at The Playhouse. We are all really looking forward to being a part of these very special shows."

We can also announce that actor Anthony Head is the latest celebrity guest star to join the cast of Rocky Horror Show, for the special gala night charity performance on 17th September. Anthony has appeared in three previous productions of The Rocky Horror Show, including his appearance in The Rocky Horror Tribute Show in 2006, where he played the role of Frank and will now share the role of 'The Narrator' alongside other guest stars including Stephen Fry, Mel Giedroyc and Emma Bunton, who will all-star alongside Richard O'Brien.

Anthony said: "Who wouldn't jump at the chance (and to the left) to be a guest Narrator for Richard O'Brien in aid of Amnesty International. Let madness take control."

Picturehouse Entertainment and Rocky Horror Company will join forces to broadcast the performance live from the Playhouse Theatre to cinemas across the UK and Europe, in aid of Amnesty International. Those attending the special Amnesty gala performance will also have the opportunity to take action for Ihar Tsikhanyuk, an openly gay drag performer living in Belarus who was taken from his hospital bed and beaten by police for campaigning on gay rights. Although being gay in Belarus is not illegal, it remains hard for LGBTI people to access rights and there are no specific laws to protect them.

Amnesty International UK's Events Manager Aikta Hancock said: "We're delighted that so many special guest stars have agreed to be part of what promises to be a spectacular performance. The Rocky Horror Show is a fabulous celebration of freedom of expression - a fundamental area of Amnesty's work. So this is a perfect opportunity to rally support for men and women like Ihar and to call for justice for all LGBTI people whose rights are under threat."

Richard O'Brien will be joined on stage by a stellar cast of Rocky favourites for all performances.Olivier award winner David Bedella, who most recently toured the UK in The Producers, makes a return to the show as, Frank 'n' Furter. Bedella has performed in Rocky many times since 2006 and last appeared in 2010.

Ben Forster, who won the ITV1 series Superstar and went on to play the title role in the Jesus Christ Superstar UK arena tour will star as Brad. He last played Brad in the 40th Anniversary UK tour.

Returning as Janet is West End star Haley Flaherty, who has performed the role in tours in Singapore, New Zealand and the UK. She will be joined by Kristian Lavercombe, reprising the role of Riff Raff, having previously notched up nearly 1000 performances around the world.

The show will be directed by Christopher Luscombe and produced by Howard Panter for Ambassador Theatre Group. These special London performances precede a nationwide UK tour of The Rocky Horror Show, which opens at the Theatre Royal Brighton on 17 December 2015.
