The Pleasance Theatre Islington has been one of the most exciting Fringe theatres in London since it opened its doors in 1995, providing a launch pad for some of the most memorable productions and most renowned practitioners of the past decade and staying true to its mission of providing a platform for the talent of the future.

Cloud Dance Festival: Trouble and Desire

Cloud Dance Festival returns with its first festival of the year, bringing you a fresh selection of new, exciting, intriguing and quirky contemporary dance, with a few special guests.

Idiots of Ants: New Material
Comedy
Monday 29 & Tuesday 30 March 8pm
The Idiots return to their spiritual home to perform a plethora of brand-new sketches. It's simply too early to guess what the sketches will be about but rest assured that some of them might be quite good. However, others will never be seen again... but that's what makes new material nights so exciting!

Join Idiots of Ants and guests (To be announced!) on the road to Edinburgh.

Pleasance Lane

Pleasance Adult Drama Group meet weekly to develop their devising and performance skills. This original devised show was created in 12 weeks by the group themselves. It explores the lives of the many characters living on Pleasance Lane and uncovers the various secrets and lies underneath the surface. With plenty of laughs as well as intrigue, this show is sure to entertain!

Andy & Mike's Big Box of Bananas

CBeebies Presenter Andy Day and long-term comedy partner Mike James brings his much loved humour to this high energy, fast-paced children's comedy. In a production aimed at 4-11 year olds (and their entire families!!),
Andy & Mike create the hilarious, slap-stick and chaotic Andy & Mike's Big Box of Bananas! A msyertious box appears in this duo's ‘fun pad'. Unable to open the box, the boys make it their mission to find out what's inside, and go on the adventure of their life, taking worldly guidance from the suave, sophisticated and altogether modest narrator.
A colourful journey ensues taking the 'house-sitters' every step of the way! The audience, who become house-sitters in Andy & Mike's 'fun pad', meet confused pirates, musical sea life, silent movie types And extravagant all-singing all-dancing air stewards'!

When a cruel twist of fate left Isla Rose trapped between life and death all she needed was a friend. Then along came Jack. Written by Dougie Blaxland and directed by Kate McGregor, this quirky new play questions love, chance and the intricate workings of a thing we call ‘life'. Boy meets girl but definitely not a love story.

Memoirs of a Biscuit Tin

An intriguing tale for grown ups filled with mischief, disobedience, isolation and forgetfulness.
This charming and exciting new piece of visual theatre follows the story of a forgotten old lady, a decaying house and the memories that lie within.
With an inventive blend of physical theatre, puppetry, clowning and object manipulation, Maison Foo brings to life the imaginative topsy turvy world lurking behind the door of number 92.
