MadCow Theatre Company's recent production at the Arcola transfers: The UK's first fully staged production in 20 years of Aaron Copland's THE TENDER LAND to play Friday 18th and Saturday 19th September 2009 at the Cochrane Theatre.

A story of love and determination. The setting is the 1930s in the Midwestern United States, at the time of the spring harvest and a high school graduation. Aaron Copland's hauntingly beautiful opera is a coming of age tale exploring themes of loneliness, sexual awakening and affinity with the land.

The production features Esther Biddle, Eleanor Blythman, Amy Castledine, Amie Clapson, Natasha Dobie, Anthony Flaum, Graham Lawder-Stone, David O'Mahony, Damian Robinson and Joseph Wicks.
