Tonight we saw the first series of The Voice UK come to an end as Leanne was crowned The Voice. Team Tom couldn't be happier, as the show ended with Leanne crowned a record contract.

The other finalists were Bo, Tyler and Vince. Vince was first out from the final after a fantastic performance with Jessie J. The two sang 'Nobody's Perfect', Jessie's own song. It cannot be denied that the duo's close friendship played a huge part in the success of the performance, but it can be argued that Jessie May have outshone her own contestant. Jessie claimed Vince was one of the nicest people she'd ever met, who chose his own style and performances throughout the show. Despite their memorable performance, Will.I.Am proved he wasn't a fan as he was caught tweeting: 'Didn't think that Jessie and Vince chose the right song for the final'.

As usual Will was attached to his phone throughout the entire live show, even logging into Twitter while performing Usher's 'OMG' with his contestant, Tyler, which began with the pair flying down from the ceiling to the stage. Just in case you missed it, of course, Will tweeted, 'Yes I tweet in the sky', whilst the performance was viewed on live television across the nation.

The final also included performances from Ed Sheeran and Maroon 5 as well as the contestants and judges. The judges gave their final performance together, with a medley of their own songs.

It is only fair to give Holly Wiloughby's wardrobe a mention too. Her stunning frocks have been a talking point for the nation throughout the entire series.

From eye-catching cleavages to newsworthy tweets, the show has been at the forefront of the public eye for the past eleven weeks.

Now Leanne leaves the show with an amazing opportunity, but what will the future see for her? Here's to hoping that there's much more of what we've seen to come!
