Following on from her highly acclaimed one woman show, Hello Jerry!, a tribute to the iconic songwriter Jerry Herman, Leanne Masterton will bring back her unique combination of elegance, warmth, fun and classic cabaret to the London stage in November with her new show, Hollywood Ghosts.

The show's title refers to the uncredited vocal heroines who provided the singing voices on the soundtracks of famous Hollywood musicals for stars such as Deborah Kerr (The King and I), Lesley Caron (Gigi), Natalie Wood (West Side Story), Audrey Hepburn (My Fair Lady), Dorothy Dandridge (Carmen Jones), etc. For decades these "ghosts" did not receive public credit for their work, despite going on to pursue amazing careers in their own rights. Now Miss Masterton and her team will unravel the stories behind the stars and the songs with her accustomed wit, charm and vocal prowess. The evening will pay tribute to such artistes as Marni Nixon, Marilyn Horne, Betty Wand and others together with the timeless classics they made famous - including I Could Have Danced All Night, I Feel Pretty, The Night They Invented Champagne, etc.

Leanne Masterton's stage credits include Side By Side By Sondheim (Swansea Grand Theatre and touring), Moll Flanders (Blue Heron Theatre, New York), Sunsets And Mornings (Wellinborough Theatre), Jack the Ripper (Jermyn Street Theatre), Hello Jerry (Jermyn Street Theatre, Studio Basement Leicester Square & the Henley Festival 2009). Her solo CD of songs by Jerry Herman, Before The Parade Passes By, is available at Dress Circle. Don Pippin (Jerry Herman's musical director for 40 years) paid tribute to her "wonderful voice", while the Henley Standard commented that she "sings with passion and intensity".

Hollywood Ghosts will play at the intimate Jermyn Street Theatre on November 8 and 9 at 8pm - starring Leanne Masterton, directed by Frank Loman, with musical direction by Leigh Thompson. A free "taster" of the show will be presented at Dress Circle on Sunday October 25 at 1.30pm.
