Shirley Jones and Patrick Cassidy, whose concert performances at the West End's Arts Theatre were supposed to run until April 3, will now end on March 27.

According to the theater's website "Shirley Jones and Patrick Cassidy will finish one week early. Miss Jones had not fully recovered from the serious vocal chords problems she had from her recent 17 night concert tour in the states and against specialists orders she came straight to London. There was no way after 6 nights here she could have carried on next week."

Jones' performances at the Arts Theatre was her first appearance in the UK.

Virtually unknown when Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein cast her as Laurie in the 1955 movie version of their hit stage musical OKLAHOMA!, Shirley Jones followed up with roles in films of "The Music Man" and "Carousel" and won the 1960 Academy Award for Elmer Ganty. She was the matriarch of The Partridge Family and has appeared on Broadway in SOUTH PACIFIC, MAGGIE FLYNN and 42ND STREET.

Cassidy has appeared on Broadway as Julian Marsh in 42ND STREET, in Elton John's AIDA (as well as the national tour for which he won the 2002 National Broadway Theatre Award for Best Actor in a Touring Musical), ANNIE GET YOUR GUN, PIRATES OF PENZANCE, and LEADER OF THE PACK. He originated the role of the Balladeer in Stephen Sondheim's ASSASSINS at Playwrights Horizons and appeared in LADY IN THE DARK at City Center's Encores!

Other theatre credits include: THE MUSIC MAN, CAROUSEL, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, and CAMELOT. His films include "Longtime Companion," "I'll Do Anything," "I Won't Dance" and "Burning Love." He starred in the TV miniseries "Dress Grey" (Emmy nomination) and "Napoleon & Josephine" as well as TV movies-of-the-week "Oklahoma City," "Something in Common," "Christmas Eve," "How the West Was Fun," and "Follow Your Heart." He was also a series regular on NBC's "Bay City Blues," CBS' "Dirty Dancing," HBO's "Perversions of Science" and the WB's "Smallville." He has Guest starred on "Law & Order SVU," "Crossing Jordan," "Without a Trace," "According to Jim," and was just seen on "CSI Miami" and "ER."
