Jason Donovan Appears as Celebrity Judge in GHOST IS DANCING Charity Event, Nov. 3

Strictly Come Dancing 2011 finalist, Jason Donovan, is set to make a special appearance as celebrity judge for Ghost Is Dancing for Children In Need charity night, at the Mayflower Theatre, Southampton on Sunday 3 November.

The night will also include a one off voiceover special from Peter Dickson, the voice behind The X Factor.

For the last 5 months, 12 terrified technicians from the Ghost The Musical touring company have been taught to dance by 12 professional dancers from the cast, all in aid of the BBC's Children in Need Appeal, so far raising over £16,000.

On Sunday 3 November they will demonstrate their skills in front of our panel of judges as part of a grand charity fundraising Gala. With a star cabaret, charity auction and further surprises, this is the one charity event of the year that you wouldn't want to miss.

Whoopi Goldberg who starred in the Oscar winning movie, Ghost, has also shown her support for the event by recording a special video message saying, "These kids have put this evening together because they want to do something fantastic for Children In Need, so I'm asking anybody to give them a boost and give whatever you can, because every little helps".

Jason Donovan has had a successful and varied career, including both acting and a record-breaking solo recording career, in which he made over 13 million sales and performed internationally to sell-out audiences of thousands. His vocal career began in 1988 when he released 'Especially for You' with Kylie Minogue and a debut solo album, Ten Good Reasons. Following the release of his second album in 1989, Jason became the biggest-selling UK and European artist. In the same year, he was voted Best Male Singer and Britain's Best Album at the Smash Hits Awards. Jason reached the final of BBC's hugely popular Strictly Come Dancing, coming third overall, and he subsequently took part in the successful UK tour of the show. He was also a finalist in the ITV smash hit I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! Jason is currently performing in the UK Tour of Priscilla Queen of the Desert.

Peter Dickson is a radio presenter, television announcer and voiceover artist, and has one of the most recognizable voices in Britain today. Peter Dickson is simply Voiceover Man. He is best known as the voice of The X Factor, as well as Britain's Got Talent, The Price Is Right, All Star Family Fortunes, The Paul O'Grady Show, Chris Moyle's Quiz Night, All Star Mr & Mrs and The National Television Awards.

The smash hit West End musical GHOST the Musical, based on the Academy Award winning film, is touring throughout the UK having opened at the Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff in April 2013. GHOST the Musical is directed by the Tony award winning Matthew Warchus (Matilda, Art) and has music and lyrics by Grammy award winning Dave Stewart(Eurythmics) and Glen Ballard and features the iconic song Unchained Melody. Oscar winning Bruce Joel Rubin adapted his original screenplay for the stage production. Rubin won an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay for the movie GHOST, which starred Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore, Tony Goldwyn and Whoopi Goldberg.

GHOST the Musical has been seen by over 500,000 people and has been nominated for five Olivier Awards and three Tony Awards.

Based on the phenomenal Oscar winning movie that captured the hearts and imaginations of a generation back in the 90s, GHOST the Musical is a timeless fantasy about the power of love. Sam is trapped as a ghost between this world and the next trying to communicate with girlfriend Molly through a phoney psychic in the hope of saving her from his murderer. GHOST the Musical is a rollercoaster ride of romance and comedy with dazzling state-of-the-art staging.

GHOST the Musical runs at the Mayflower Theatre from 29 October to 9 November 2013.
