Through 16 Dec., a six-minute laser and light show will honor the great William Shakespeare in his birthplace in Stratford-upon-Avon, according to BBC.

Titled BIRTHPLACE 3D LIGHTSHOW SPECTACULAR, the show is a brief, though intricate experience featuring actors performing sections of Shakespeare's work, while quotes and characters are projected onto the walls of the home. The show launched this past Thursday.

Head of Operations Philippa Rawlinson told BBC: "The show mixes Live Theatre with 3D lights...It's an absolute first in the town."

Thousands of residents turned out for the the first night of the event, including travelers from other countries.

"There's a TV crew from France here," project team member Symon Powell said. "It's been a major success and it's definitely something we will look to repeat next year."
