Today, 26 March 2010, Digital Theatre announces its first collaboration with the Royal Shakespeare Company - the RSC's production, in association with Told by an Idiot, of The Comedy of Errors directed by Paul Hunter.

Specially created for schools and family audiences, and born out of the RSC's commitment to providing great first experiences of Shakespeare for young people, this high-energy 90-minute condensed version, edited by Gary Owen, sees two sets of brothers try to make sense of the strange world around them. The Comedy of Errors will be exclusively available from www.digitaltheatre.com from 26 March 2010, joining the current catalogue of downloadable productions, at a cost of £8.99.

When two sets of identical twins with identical names are shipwrecked as infants their father can save only one of each set. Years later, one Antipholus and one Dromio arrive in Ephesus only to find that everyone there seems a little odd...

Following its acclaimed performances in schools all over the Black Country last year, The Comedy of Errors will play live in repertoire for seven performances only at The Courtyard Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon between 7 August - 11 September 2010.

Additionally from today, Digital Theatre are also offering a live streaming service, which enables the user to enjoy instant access to the current selection of filmed productions available on the site without having to download the Digital Theatre player.

Digital Theatre's current catalogue of productions is:

Mark Ravenhill's Over There, part of The Royal Court Theatre's 2009 Off The Wall season, written by Mark Ravenhill and directed by Ravenhill and Ramin Gray, with a cast of twin brothers Harry Treadaway and Luke Treadaway.
