Grab some loose change, top up your oyster card and jump aboard this musical excursion to discover the loves, conflicts, traditions, adventures and aspirations of the real East Enders. Part of CREATE10 and Young London: Into Music, Re:Definition explores East London's rich past, present and exciting future through the eyes of its homegrown talent, the UD Vocal Collective, supported by some top names in urban music: Shola Ama, Omar, Ghetts, Maxsta, Bongo Man of Crazy Cousinz, Miss D, Devlin, and pioneers of the grime generation, NY and Lioness. Narrated by Mikill Pane and directed by Matthew "Excalibah" Xia, the UD Vocal Collective and guests will perform an original musical score at Theatre Royal Stratford East on Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd July, from 7.30pm.

The UD Vocal Collective is a collective of young talented singers from East London. Since forming three years ago, they have performed alongside Chipmunk, Wretch32 and Young Nate; and rocked festivals from Rise to The Mayor's Show in Newham. Led by emerging vocal star ShezAr and musical director, Daniel Thomas they'll take the audience on a whistle-stop tour through the sights and sounds of the place they all call home. Think barbershops, backstreets and bus routes.

Re:Definition is produced by Urban Development, Newham's own professional development agency. Urban Development has built a reputation for inspiring young people and championing some of brightest names on the local and national scene.

Re:Definition is the culmination of a phenomenal programme of events for Young London:Into Music, which provides a unique opportunity for aspiring stars aged 14-25 to receive professional mentoring and training in songwriting, event production, choreography and marketing from music-industry insiders. Part of CREATE10, east and southeast London's very own festival of arts and culture, the programme harnesses the amazing musical abilities and talents of East and South East London's young people.
