Blair Goldberg, Sydney Sainte & More to Sing ROYAL FABLES at The West End, 28 June

THE WEST END presents a concert performance of ROYAL FABLES, a new musical by Nick Luckenbaugh, on Saturday, June 28th, 2014. ROYAL FABLES is a new song and dance cycle that takes an unexpected look at classic and not-so-classic fairy tale royals through the lens of contemporary folk, rock, and jazz music.

Royal Fables features performances by Blair Goldberg (CARRIE, SISTER ACT National Tour), Stephanie Hsu (POLITICAL SUBVERSITIES, FAST COMPANY at EST), Sydney Sainté (THE LONELINESS OF THE LONG DISTANCE RUNNER at Atlantic Theater Company), Jennifer Bissell (MAME at the Media Theater), Megan Mekjian (ON THE TOWN at Barrington Stage Company), Ashley Sweetman (NEXT THING YOU KNOW at TriArts Sharon Playhouse), Jackie Washam (CLOAKED at CAP21), Rebecca Odorisio (CLICK, CLACK, MOO at Theatreworks/USA), Suzanne Lenz, Hayley Biegel, and Emma Davis. The concert is music directed by Jeremy M. Frane.

ROYAL FABLES plays The West End (955 West End Avenue) on Saturday, June 28th at 6pm. There is a $5 cover charge and $15 food and beverage minimum. Tickets are sold at the door. Additional information is available at www.thewestendlounge.com.

ROYAL FABLES was developed with students in the NYU Vocal Performance program in March 2014. The piece will receive a full production by Libra Theater Company, in association with The TRUF, from October 30 through November 17, 2014 at the Access Theater in Tribeca.

Nick Luckenbaugh is music theater writer and composer. His music has been heard at numerous venues including 54 Below, Sidewalk Café, The West End, and Jimmy's No. 43 among others. Select projects include ROYAL FABLES as well as a new fantasy book musical entitled UNBOUND (with singer/songwriter Amy Molewski). Nick is also co-founder and Managing Artistic Director of Libra Theater Company, a three-time NY Innovative Theatre Award-winning off-off-Broadway theater.
