The idea behind West End Bares was originally a concept by legendary director and choreographer Jerry Mitchell (Hairspray, Legally Blonde, Love Never Dies). West End Bares will play two shows (9:30pm and midnight).

West End Bares hit the headlines in 2011 when Gok Wan stripped actress Sheridan Smith on stage, all to raise funds for entertainment industry charity “The Make A Difference Trust”, set up to support people living with chronic ill health conditions and experiencing extreme poverty.

As well as being an international sporting hero, Ben Cohen is behind The Ben Cohen Standup Foundation, the world’s first foundation dedicated to raising awareness of the long-term, damaging effects of bullying, and funding those doing real-world work to stop it.

Steven Inman, Director of The Make A Difference Trust said, “We are very excited that Ben will be joining us for West End Bares, particularly as the theme of this year's show is sport. West End Bares will be a fun, energetic and high profile show which promises to be our best yet. We are also very pleased to be able to have the opportunity to highlight Bens Standup Foundation and the important work they are doing.

TheatreMAD is also proud to announce that West End Bares has commissioned an exciting up and coming songwriting duo; Anderson and Petty, currently enjoying growing success in both London and New York to write an original piece for the event.

The show, which is supported by high profile brands such as: GT MagazineProwler StoresMAC Cosmetics;aussieBum, and StageWon, is always a sell out and tickets are highly sort after in the days running up to the event, with many people last year finding that they were unable to get into this sell out show. The advice is simple, go to the MADTrust website and book now to avoid disappointment and remember that every penny goes to charity. In the past, hosts and surprise show guests have included celebrities such as John Barrowman, Paul O Grady, Gok Wan, Sheridan Smith, Matt Evers and Chloe Madley there are always plenty of surprises around the corner.
