According to an article in The Official London Theatre Guide: Abi Titmuss is to take her second London theatre role in the new comedy Fat Christ, opening at the King's Head Theatre on Tuesday, February 28.
Written by Gavin Davis, "the play revolves around Jack Taylor and his desperation to find his big break in life. After previous attempts have left him and his pregnant wife with next to nothing, Jack finds himself working as a window cleaner to make ends meet. When the opportunity to take part in an insanely ambitious scheme with a top London art dealer arises, Jack takes the chance of a better life for his family and crucifies himself to his ambitions."Titmuss is perhaps better known as a tabloid favorite than an actress, but during her years working as a nurse, she studied acting at the Central School of Speech and Drama. After TV appearances and a job presenting for Richard And Judy, Titmuss built up her public profile and left nursing for a full time career in show business. In March 2006, Titmuss made her London stage acting debut starring alongside Jay Benedict in the Arthur Miller play Two Way Mirror at the Courtyard theatre. She was awarded Best West End Debut by the Fringe Report for her role.Videos
