Quantum by Tara Moses (National Day of Theater Readings for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Relatives) at Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater (Kogod Cradle)

Arena Stage participates in the National Day of Theater Readings for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Relatives on May 5, 2026, as part of a nationwide initiative led by the Native Performing Arts Network. The evening includes a community conversation and Indigenous marketplace at 6PM, followed by a reading of Quantum by Tara Moses at 7:30PM in the Kogod Cradle. Written by Tara Moses and inspired by her maternal grandfather's story, Quantum follows Ivy Johnson, a woman adopted into a mixed-race family who begins uncovering her Indigenous roots and grappling with questions of identity, blood quantum, and what it means to be a Native woman in contemporary America. Arena Stage is joined by Mosaic Theater Company, Theater Alliance, and Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company in solidarity for this evening of storytelling and remembrance.
