Lysistrata is a fresh and dynamic adaptation of the classic comedy by Aristophanes, adapted by Gil Mitchell and Emma Crane Jaster with assistance from Stephen Halliwell, Sarah Ruden, and others, and directed by Emma Crane Jaster. The production features an inventive and thoroughly physical staging that explores themes of power, resistance, and unity while speaking to modern audiences. The cast includes Aja Goode as Lysistrata, Surasree Das as Myrrhine, Tracy Coffey as Nikki, Cristina Sánchez as Cali, Pauline Lamb as Lampito, Clint Blakely as Kinesias, and Michael Allen Chamberlin as Dictonius, among others. Special performances include Women and Nonbinary Affinity Night, BIPOC Affinity Night, Pride Night, and an Industry Night celebrating Glass Canon Theatre Company's first anniversary.
