A Fine Madness at Hamiltonian Artists

A Fine Madness is a world premiere work created and performed by Justin Weaks, a Company Member of Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company, and directed by Raymond O. Caldwell. Inspired by the Voyager Golden Record, the piece blends poetry, music, storytelling, games, and scientific inquiry as Weaks leads audiences in co-creating a collective record of shared humanity. At its core is Weaks' own story as a Black gay man in Washington, DC, navigating a recent HIV diagnosis, pushing back against erasure through radical honesty and reclaimed personal narrative. Each performance is shaped in real time by the audience, making every gathering a wholly unique experience.
