OTHER LIFE FORMS Comes to The Keegan Theatre The Keegan Theatre presents the world premiere of OTHER LIFE FORMS, a romantic comedy of cosmic proportions by DC playwright Brandon McCoy, directed by Shirley Serotsky. The cast features Brianna Letourneau, Shanta Parasuraman, John Loughney, Josh Sticklin, and Aidan Quartana.

Roommates Ben and Jeff couldn't be more different. Ben is a struggling journalist who can't get anything to go his way. Jeff is a successful researcher who glides through life with little resistance. At Jeff's insistence, they both give online dating a try. Ben meets Molly and the results are volatile, while Jeff meets Leslie and they make a connection. Over the course of the evening, a truth is revealed that sets in motion a series of hysterical and illuminating events. OTHER LIFE FORMS is a dynamic comedy that sets out to prove the existence of love, and how we often get in the way of it.

"Keegan is an enthusiastic supporter of new works, both on our MainStage and through our Boiler Room Series," says artistic director Susan Marie Rhea. "We are always on the lookout for compelling world premieres to produce - shows that fit our aesthetic and approach, that speak to the human condition in an honest and accessible way, and scripts that entertain and elevate. OTHER LIFE FORMS does all of these things - and more. It's funny, smart, eerily insightful, and like nothing I've read before. The fact that it was written by Brandon McCoy, a company member at Keegan, made the decision to produce this show a no-brainer. Audiences are in for a surprisingly delightful treat with this script."

Last season, Keegan produced a staged reading of another of McCoy's scripts, WEST BY GOD. "Keegan is interested in supporting Brandon's writing career in a larger sense," Rhea continues. "He's a remarkable talent, and we are proud and excited to give his voice a platform. OTHER LIFE FORMS is the first of what we hope to be many more artistic collaborations. DC audiences should keep an eye out for Brandon's work; I certainly expect him to be widely produced, once people are introduced to his writing."

OTHER LIFE FORMS runs June 15, 2018, through July 7, 2018, at The Keegan Theatre in Washington, DC. This is Keegan Theatre's 21st season performing in Washington, DC. The Keegan Theatre produces powerful productions of classic and modern plays and musicals, offered to the community at affordable prices.
