By:

Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company will present the hilarious fun of One Man Lord of the Rings written and performed by Charles Ross (One Man Star Wars Trilogy) July 5-August 1 on the Woolly Mammoth Mainstage.

In One Man Lord of the Rings internationally-renowned writer/performer Charles Ross transforms the 11 hour and 23 minute Peter Jackson epic Lord of the Rings film trilogy into a jam-packed 65 minute solo performance thrill-ride. On stage with nothing more than a pair of elbow pads and a set of knee pads, Ross' mind-blowing amalgamation of 42 characters, familiar theme music, and sound effects has enchanted audiences around the globe.
Charles Ross (writer/performer), a Canadian actor, playwright and self-proclaimed ‘professional geek', is best known as the mastermind behind the infamous One Man Star Wars Trilogy and One Man Lord of the Rings, is a Canadian actor whose talents have become recognized around the globe. Since first performing his One Man Star Wars Trilogy in Toronto, Ontario in January of 2001, Ross has brought countless audiences to their feet with his surprisingly unique shows.

Word of Ross's one of a kind talent has spread like wildfire with recent appearances on The Late Show with Craig Ferguson, The Today Show, and Late Night with Conan O'Brien. His off-Broadway debut in August 2005 was a smashing success with critics raving about the incredible intensity that Ross brings to his work.
