NextStop Theatre Company's 3rd professional season continues Halloween weekend with the opening of its production of the suspense thriller, Deathtrap. Holding the record as the longest-running thriller in Broadway history, Ira Levin's ingeniously crafted play brings the scares and surprises coming until the final curtain. NextStop's production, directed by Producing Artistic Director Evan Hoffmann, will open Halloween weekend and run through November 22, 2015.

The cast will be led by Peter Holdway as Sidney Bruhl and James Finley as Clifford Anderson. They will be joined by Frank Britton as Porter Milgrim, Susan d. Garvey as Myra Bruhl, and Lorraine Magee as Helga ten Dorp. See more information about the cast at http://www.nextstoptheatre.org/shows/deathtrap.

Sidney Bruhl, has-been playwright known for murderous thrillers, receives a request for notes on his student Clifford Anderson's first play. Clifford has only made one copy of what turns out to be an extraordinary new play, and Sidney must consider how far he will go to win back his fame and fortune. But all is not as it seems; the twists and turns in this plot will have you wondering-- who should you really watch out for?

The original Broadway production opened in 1978 and ran until 1982, was nominated for the 1978 Tony Award for Best Play, and won the Edgar Allen Poe Award for Best Play in 1980.

The creative team behind the production includes Kristen Pilgrim (fight director), JD Madsen (scenic design), AnnMarie Castrigno (lighting design), Kristina Martin (costume design), and Stan Harris (sound design). Laura Moody serves as the Production Stage Manager.
