Bob Saget to Serve as Roastmaster for The District of Comedy Roast of James Carville at Kennedy Center
The Kennedy Center today announced Bob Saget as Roastmaster in The District of Comedy Roast of James Carville to be held on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 8 p.m. in the Concert Hall. Regarding his role in the event, Saget stated "I cannot tell you how excited I am to be the host of the James Carville roast. I am equally excited to find out who he is." Saget takes over as Roastmaster for Lewis Black, who will no longer be able to participate in the event due to unforeseen changes in his professional schedule.

Bob Saget is a director, actor, Grammy-nominated stand-up comedian, and a New York Times best-selling author. He is constantly touring and performing stand-up. In January 2016, he completed a nine-week run on Broadway in the Tony-nominated play Hand To God and he can be seen in the hit Netflix series, Fuller House. This fall, Saget will begin filming the feature film, Jake, which he will direct and star in.
