Theatre Life starts a new chapter with its first video feature. I can't think of two better people for this debut. Today's subjects are living their theatre lives pretty much 24/7. Merrill and Mark Shugoll are the President and CEO of Shugoll Research in Bethesda, Maryland. One of the things this wonderful organization does is provide market research services to theatre companies all over the country. During the interview, you will learn much more about this.
Besides running their very successful business they see tons and tons of theatre. I'm talking four to five shows in a weekend sometimes. I see a lot of theatre with my wife in a year, but I really do think they have us beat.
Through the course of the interview - in which I ask the questions off-camera because I want the focus to be on them - you will also learn about ArtSpeak. This FREE program brings local and Broadway talents to area high schools so students can get a chance to see - for example - Audra McDonald or, just recently, Jason Robert Brown live and in person.
That is just a taste of what is in store for you so now, I hope you enjoy our first Theatre Life video interview with the amazing and incredibly supportive lovers of the arts Merrill and Mark Shugoll.
