 Mamma Mia! writer Catherine Johnson is returning to the theatre to premiere a new work, she spoke to the Times Online about her upcoming play, Suspension and her mega hit Mamma Mia!, to read the interview click here.

The Clifton Suspension Bridge provides the backdrop for the internationally-acclaimed Bristol playwright's latest work, called Suspension.

The venue's executive chairman, Dick Penny, asked Ms Johnson to write the play to launch the Old Vic's new writing programme, Script in Hand, aimed at developing new writing talent. Ms Johnson has been involved with Bristol Old Vic since 1988, when she won a playwriting competition.

She went on to become the theatre's writer in residence and over the years has continued to write and stage plays there reports the Post's website. To read the entire article click here.
