A great New Year’s Eve can be elegant or wild.  This year, Middlebury’s Town Hall Theater asks the question:  why not both?

For elegance, THT has joined forces with The Middlebury Inn for an elegant reception and dinner.  Over dessert, guests will be entertained by Bill Bickford, recent star of the Middlebury Community Players production of The Music Man.

“We always include some kind of very special entertainment at our New Year’s dinners,” says THT executive director Douglas Anderson.  “Everyone in town fell in love with Bill during The Music Man, so he was the obvious choice for this night.”

After the meal, diners may then walk across the street for something a little more wild:  a dance at THT featuring the ever-popular Doughboys and their blend of classic rock and dance tunes.  Everyone at the dance will receive a free champagne toast at midnight, as the crowd goes outside to hear the THT Great Bell ring in the new year.

The price for the dinner and dance is $100 per person, and includes wine with dinner.  Dinner begins with a reception at 6 pm.

The price for the dance only is $20, and includes the champagne toast.  The dance begins at 8 pm.

Tickets may be purchased at www.townhalltheater.org, by calling 802 382-9222, in person at the THT Box Office, or at the door.
