THE NEWS IN REVUE, the Emmy Award-winning musical satire troupe, will be in residence at the Killington Grand Resort Hotel this fall, performing an all-new edition of their ever-changing musical revue spoofing the people and places in the day's headlines. The Grand's Ovations Restaurant will be transformed into a dinner theater where the renowned musical comedy troupe willperform nightly.

Fast paced and side-splittingly funny, each actor plays multiple characters in the courseof the 90-minute show, lampooning everyone from A-Rod to Zardari. From HillaryClinton's globetrotting escapades to a behind-the-scenes look at life in the Obama WhiteHouse with the First Grandma as our tour guide, to a ridiculously funny look at the swineflu epidemic as seen by a disheartened swine, THE NEWS IN REVUE promises more laughs than a Sarah Palin interview and will generate even more applause than Dick Cheney leaving office.

You can always expect a few surprises because as news stories break, THE NEWS IN REVUE is on the job, producing topical tunes from their uniquely zany perspective.THE NEWS IN REVUE has been praised by critics everywhere. It's hailed as "a delight" by The New York Times and "very clever" by WNBC-TV. Variety raved that the material was "Excellent! So smart and so surprising!" Countless other critics concur.

Says The Miami Chronicle: "A talented cast performing bulls-eye satire" and TheRochester Democrat and Chronicle, "[The News in Revue] packs the kind of wallop that causes ear-to-ear grins. All I can say is, it works." The group's newest show is written and created by Nancy Holson, writer/director of the Off-Broadway hit musical BUSH WARS and the co-creator/writer of the fabulouslyfunny PARENTING 101", which is playing to standing ovations across the country.Created in 1992 (and making audiences laugh ever since), THE NEWS IN REVUE has performed continuously in various cities throughout the country and has won five Emmyawards for its series of PBS specials, two of which were for Ms. Holson's writing.

The group has performed throughout the country entertaining dignitaries such as President Gerald R. Ford, various Cabinet members, assorted Senators, Congressmen, Mayors, and the Speakers of the House from all 50 states (and Saipan!). They have had troupes in residence in various cities in Florida, Connecticut and Colorado, and for fifteen summerseasons in the Berkshires. The talented New York cast includes long-time THE NEWS IN REVUE favorite JayFalzone, whose recent work in BUSH WARS Off Broadway performance was hailed bythe NY Times: "Falzone... reaches an energetic intensity... that propels the evening to heights of helpless mania." He is joined by Stephen Smith, Melodye Brandt and Alison Friedman.

Jeremy Randall will preside at the piano.Centrally located between Rutland and Woodstock, the Killington Grand Resort Hotel is an easy drive for leaf-peeping visitors to the region. The theater is located at Ovations Restaurant and will feature a specially designed three-course prix-fixed menu. OvationsRestaurant, a proud member of the Vermont Fresh Network, features locally grown seasonal ingredients in their distinctive cuisine.A longtime part-time resident and homeowner in Killington, Holson notes of Killington in the fall, "The area is awash with tourists, soaking up the natural beauty and Vermont's unique charm. In talking to the locals, it became obvious to me that the only thing that is missing from Killington in the fall is entertainment." Holson had one of those light bulb moments.

"It hit me that it would be a great idea to bring my troupe from New York to perform at Killington for the foliage season. I love the idea of being part of the scene in a place that is my second home. I think that locals and tourists alike are going to be blown away when they see the quality of the show we are bringing to Killington." Ms. Holson is grateful for the local show of support by the way of sponsorship from the Killington Economic and Tourism Development Council.Public performances will begin Thursday, September 24 th and continue through Sunday, October 11 th .
