Valentine's Day is here and love is all around us. At this most romantic time of the year, we can't help but wonder... what is the greatest Broadway love song ever? BroadwayWorld continues our great tradition of finding that consensus- and this year we have more answers than ever! We've gathered responses from over 1500 performers, composers, industry professionals, and entertainment personalities from all over the world.

This year's list is presented by The Notebook, now in previews on Broadway. Based on the best selling novel that inspired the iconic film, this new musical follows Allie and Noah, both from different worlds, as they share a lifetime of love despite the forces that threaten to pull them apart, in a deeply moving portrait of the enduring power of love.

My favorite love song from Broadway is Funny Girl's "The Music That Makes Me Dance." I mean, anything Barbra Streisand does turns to gold for me, so her voice on anything. And Funny Girl is one of my favorites, all-time favorites, so that's mine.

A Bronx Tale: The Musical
My favorite Broadway love song is: “Forever Yours” from Once On This Island. The song manages to capture so much beauty and heartbreak in every other phrase. The juxtaposition is so magnificent.

The Band's Visit | Under My Skin
Well, it sounds obvious, but my favorite right now is the love song I get to sing in The Band’s Visit, “The Beat of Your Heart." Among the many things he achieves with “The Beat of Your Heart," David Yazbek ingeniously turns a song about lost love into a song of inspiration to all those lovers who have lost their way. Every night I feel grateful to be able to sing “Maybe music is the food of love, but music and love, who can tell them apart?” I mean, music and love. What else is there, right?

The Lion King | The 39 Steps
"Not While I’m Around" from Sweeney Todd. Love it because I think it’s melodically & lyrically perfect and is both sweet & haunting at the same time.

Dreamgirls | Thoroughly Modern Millie | Wicked
My favorite Broadway love song is "I Got Love" from a musical back in the day called Purlie

Children of a Lesser God
My favorite Broadway love song is “Falling Slowly” from Once. I fell in love with that song when watching the movie with my husband and we would sign it to each other all the time and the words just stuck. The lyrics are so beautiful and paint such vivid emotions. It is kind of a love song, kind of a song of hope.

My favorite Broadway love song is "The World is in My Arms" by Burton Lane.

Doctor Zhivago | The Secret Garden
The first musical I saw was Carousel. "If I Loved You" made a big impression. I love that song. And then Porgy & Bess, "I Loves You, Porgy." I would say from La Boheme, "Mi chiamano, Mimi." And then I started writing songs and I happen to love the songs. I was very taken by love songs. And I would say some of the songs that I wrote: "How Could I Ever Know" (The Secret Garden) was such an important song. And from Doctor Zhivago, "On the Edge of Time" with Lara and Yurii, their love song. And also another love song that they sang was "Now." "The only time is now," and I think so much as I get older and I don't have that many years to enjoy my life, I've realized that the only time is now. Now I have to live in the full, and I think that song, "Now," that lyric, is brilliant and I think that it expresses that moment that if you don't say "I love you" now then you might miss that opportunity.

SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical
I would have to say the song "All the Things You Are" from the musical Very Warm for May by Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein II is at the top of my list for favorite Broadway love songs.

Avenue Q
My favorite Broadway love song is a tie between So Many People from Saturday Night and, though not a 'traditional' love song, "Somebody Somewhere" from The Most Happy Fella.

The Play That Goes Wrong
My favorite Broadway love song is “Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered.” I was first introduced to it through the Sinatra version, which is still my favorite - I love how melancholy yet hopefully (hopelessly?) romantic it is. Then when learning about its context in Pal Joey it underscored how complex and funny and unvarnished the song really is - a great encapsulation of the ups, downs, and resilience of love, whether meant to be or ill-fated.

Rocktopia | American Idiot | Jesus Christ Superstar | Rent
My favorite Broadway love song has to be "Last Night on Earth." I mean, I was a part of American Idiot, but there's something about that song that just absolutely grips my heart. It's a great testimony to love and affection and heartache. It's a classic love song to me.
