SIX, BEETLEJUICE, And More Announced for Broadway Across Canada 2024-25 Season In Vancouver

Broadway Across Canada has announced their 2024-2025 Broadway season, featuring seven spectacular theatrical productions that will take center stage at our home in Vancouver, the prestigious Queen Elizabeth Theatre.

This season’s four show package includes: the Broadway smash hit musical Beetlejuice based on Tim Burton’s dearly beloved film; the triumphant story of the Queen of Rock and Roll TINA – The Tina Turner Musical, an uplifting comeback story like no other; winner of 23 awards in the 2021-2022 Broadway season, including the Tony Award for Best Original Score (Music and Lyrics) and the Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Musical, SIX; and the ever loved phenomenon making it’s much anticipated return, Disney’s The Lion King. Additionally, this season boasts three specials, kicking off with Canada’s beloved musical, Come From Away, what The New York Times hailed “the best musical this century”, The Book of Mormon; and wrapping up with the legendary, RIVERDANCE 30 – The New Generation.

BEETLEJUICE

January 21-26, 2025 

He earned his stripes on Broadway… now the ghost-with-the-most is coming to Vancouver. 

It’s showtime! Based on Tim Burton’s dearly beloved film, this hilarious musical tells the story of Lydia Deetz, a strange and unusual teenager whose whole life changes when she meets a recently deceased couple and a demon with a thing for stripes. With an irreverent book, an astonishing set, and a score that’s out of this Netherworld, BEETLEJUICE is “SCREAMINGLY GOOD FUN!” (Variety). And under its uproarious surface (six feet under, to be exact), it’s a remarkably touching show about family, love, and making the most of every Day-O!

March 25 - 30, 2025 

TINA – The Tina Turner Musical is the triumphant story of the Queen of Rock and Roll set to the pulse-pounding soundtrack of her most beloved hits! TINA–The Tina Turner Musical presents Tina’s journey against all odds to become one of the world’s most beloved artists of all time. Featuring her much loved songs, TINA – The Tina Turner Musical is written by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Katori Hall.

May 13 - 18, 2025 

From Tudor Queens to Pop Icons, the SIX wives of Henry VIII take the microphone to remix five hundred years of historical heartbreak into a Euphoric Celebration of 21st century girl power! This new original musical is the global sensation that everyone is losing their head over! 

SIX won 23 awards in the 2021/2022 Broadway season, including the Tony Award® for Best Original Score (Music and Lyrics) and the Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Musical.

DISNEY’S THE LION KING

During that fateful week, cultures clashed and nerves ran high—but uneasiness turned into trust, music soared into the night and gratitude grew into enduring friendships. Celebrate the best of humankind and the best in all of us at Come From Away. 

THE BOOK OF MORMON – season option 

November 12 - 17, 2024 

It’s The Book of Mormon is the nine-time Tony Award winning Best Musical from the minds behind South Park and the Academy Award-winning composer of Frozen.

RIVERDANCE 30 – The New Generation – season option 

June 10 - 15, 2025 

Since Riverdance first emerged onto the world stage, its fusion of Irish and international dance and music has captured the hearts of millions worldwide. The Grammy award-winning music and the infectious energy of its mesmerising choreography and breathtaking performances has left audiences in awe and established Riverdance as a global cultural sensation. 

To celebrate this incredible 30th year milestone, Riverdance will embark on a special anniversary tour, bringing its magic to audiences around the world. This spectacular production rejuvenates the much-loved original show with new innovative choreography and costumes and state of the art lighting, projection and motion graphics. And for the first time Riverdance welcomes “The New Generation” of performers, all of whom were not born when show began 30 years ago.
