John Reischman And The Jaybirds Come to Festival Place

As part of the Qualico Cafe Series, Festival Place will welcome back John Reischman and the Jaybirds, February 8, 2019.
Like the powerful mandolinist and composer at its helm, John Reischman and the Jaybirds fashion a stylish take on bluegrass, seamlessly blending original songs and instrumentals with Appalachian old-time music for a truly unique band sound. Now in their 20th year, with seven acclaimed albums and two JUNO nominations, the Jaybirds are simultaneously innovative and unadorned, sophisticated and stripped-down, happily old-fashioned and 21st-century contemporary.
Festival Place continues to be Alberta's #1 Presenter of Professional Artists. The 2017/2018 season showcased an eclectic mix of over 80 incredibly talented performers. The 2018/2019 season carries on the same ambitious standard of entertainment, with over 30 performances already scheduled for 2019 with new shows added throughout the year.
