The Firehall Arts Centre is pleased to present George F. Walker's DEAD METAPHOR from Saturday, April 2 to Saturday, April 23, 2016.

A recipient of the Order of Canada, George F. Walker is one of Canada's most prolific and widely produced playwrights. Directed by Chelsea Haberlin, DEAD METAPHOR introduces us to a young ex-sniper (Dean) who has recently returned to Canada from Afghanistan and is struggling to find work. With aging parents (Hank and Frannie) and a pregnant ex-wife (Jenny), Dean finds himself lending his 'talents' in the ideological war at home as an assistant to a contemptuous politician (Helen) seeking election.

DEAD METAPHOR is a Firehall Arts Centre production and features Mike Gill (The Snow Queen) as Dean, Carmela Sison (Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike) as Jenny, Meghan Gardiner (A Christmas Story) as Helen, Jovanni Sy (The King and I) as Oliver, Alec Willows (Ghosts in Baghdad) as Hank, and Donna Spencer (Urinetown) as Frannie.

DEAD METAPHOR is written by George F. Walker, directed by Chelsea Haberlin and produced by Donna Spencer, featuring Meghan Gardiner, Mike Gill, Carmela Sison, Donna Spencer, Alec Willows and Jovanni Sy. Costume Design by Amy McDougall. Sound Design by Troy Slocum. Set & Lighting Design by Lauchlin Johnston.
