Funhouse Comedy Club – Comedy Night in Ashby-de-la-Zouch September 2026 at The Lyric Rooms

Funhouse Comedy is back at the Lyric Rooms, Ashby-de-la-Zouch on Thursday September 3rd for more fun and laughter.

Topping the bill Irish comedian Andrew Maxwell who has appeared on several TV programmes, including ‘Live At The Apollo’ and ‘Mock The Week’, as well as having his own Radio 4 series. A connoisseur of the ridiculous, and yet not the slightest bit cynical, with hard-hitting and hilarious material covering a variety of topics.

Opening the night will be the award winning Nathan Caton, star of radio and TV, including TV’s Live At The Apollo, Mock The Week, Russell Howard’s Good News and BBC Radio 4’s ‘Can’t Tell Nathan Caton Nothing’, which had its 3rd series in 2014. He started his comedy career as a 19 year old and immediately started winning awards. He has been called the most exciting young black comic on the circuit and combines his laidback, clear-cut material with his art of cutting down ‘fools’ both in everyday life and the media.

Also appearing will be Steve Harris. Energetically delivering clever, sometimes sarcastic lines, he will captivate the audience with his hilariously obscure observations and mischievous persona. A sheer bundle of fun!

Completing the line-up is observational, the engaging, thoughtful and punchy comedian, Malinda Makuma, mixing smart social commentary with big laughs.

Compere for the night will be the amiable and animated Spiky Mike.
