Funhouse Comedy Club - Comedy Night in Ashby de la Zouch January 2026 at The Lyric Rooms

Funhouse Comedy opens the New Year at the Lyric Rooms, Ashby-de-la-Zouch on Thursday January 15th with a great night of laughter.

Topping the bill is British Comedian of the Year Finalist, the incredible Scott Bennett who has appeared on ‘The Royal Variety Performance’ and ‘Live at the Apollo’, had his own Radio 4 show and is widely tipped in the industry as on the brink of the big time. He was also runner up Best Show Nominee Leicester Comedy Festival and support for Michael McIntyre, Rob Brydon and Micky Flanagan in arenas This loveable rising star enthrals the crowd with his warm and engaging delivery, he is a Yorkshire live wire with an undeniable no nonsense logic, who was busy entertaining people through the lockdown, with his ‘Stand Up From The Shed’ online show.

Opening the night will be UK-based, French comedian and raconteur Marcel Lucont who has appeared on ‘The John Bishop Show’ and ‘Russell Howard's Good News’. Having toured the world with his dry wit, bawdy chansons and exquisite poetry he has the audience laughing from start to finish. His deadpan delivery and surreal musings are both inspirational and intriguing.

Also appearing is Karen Bayley the first ever female winner of the prestigious Comedy Store King Gong award. With her shrewd wit and great timing she surprises her audiences with her inspired and sparkling punch-lines.

Completing the line-up will be the likeable and witty Jeremy Flynn.

Compere for the night is the energetic and animated Spiky Mike.
