Funhouse Comedy Club – Comedy Night in Ashby de la Zouch June 2026 at The Lyric Rooms

Funhouse Comedy is back at the Lyric Rooms, Ashby-de-la-Zouch on Thursday June 4th with another great line-up of comedians.

Topping the bill is the compelling and frank comedian and writer, Daliso Chaponda who came 3rd in ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ and then landed himself his own stand-up comedy show on BBC Radio 4. Hailing from Malawi, where his father is a government minister, he started his comedy career in Canada with the much-admired one man show ‘Feed This Black Man’. With his ability to talk about anything from politics and religion to romance, he amuses his audiences with his distinctive accent and unique outlook on the world.

Opening the night will be Steve Gribbin, a diminutive guitar-wielding satirist from Liverpool whose comedy songs and off the wall observations have made him one of the firm favourites of the comedy circuit. His unique comedy songs combine razor sharp lyrics with tunes that you won’t forget.

Also appearing will be the pensively idiosyncratic Jay Handley, who covers a variety of topics combining observations, anecdotes and reality.

Completing the line-up is ‘Aussie’ comedian Aidan Jones, with his effortless charisma, disarming honesty and sharp, curious mind.

Compere for the night will be the chatty and cheerful Spiky Mike.
