In Playing with Grownups, Joanna's just had a baby and she's regretting it. But doting husband Robert Is pretending that everything's fine. The last thing either of them needs is a visit from their academic colleague Jake Robert's boss and Joanna's ex turning up with an uninvited guest. Or maybe it's exactly what they need. Hannah Patterson's Playing With Grownups is a frank and funny exploration of relationships and what it means to be a woman. The play is set in an instantly recognizable urbane, career-driven world, where the characters are questioning the choices they have made. This is Hannah Patterson's second play. Her first play, Much, was also directed by Hannah Eidinow.

Shane Attwooll's TV credits include Dark Matters, Titanic, Foyle's War, and Spooks. Recent theatre credits include Enron (Noel Coward), Shawshank Redemption (Wyndhams) and Cyrano De Bergerac (Chichester).

Ben Caplan is best known for his role in TV's Call the Midwife as PC Peter Oakes and his other TV credits include Whitechapel and Dark Matters. He has previously appeared at Theatre503 in Pushing Up Poppies.

Trudi Jackson's TV credits include The Bill and Gavin and Stacey. Theatre credits include several shows directed by Hannah Eidinow including Simpatico (Old Red Lion) Terror 2010 and 2009 (Southwark Playhouse) and Road Rage and The Depth (both Arcola).

Playing With Grownups will be designed by Simon Scullion, with lighting by Nicholas Holdridge, costume design by Natalie Price and sound design by Tom Wilson.

Multi-award-winning Hannah Eidinow is one of the UK's most prolific and acclaimed directors. Current shows include the critical and box office success An Instinct for Kindness and the national tour of Maurice's Jubilee.

Theatre503 is the home of groundbreaking plays, led by Artistic Director Paul Robinson. The 60-seat Theatre, above the Latchmere Pub in Battersea, is the smallest venue in the UK to receive an Olivier Award and has built a strong reputation for staging plays by first time writers, launching the careers of playwrights such as Dennis Kelly, Phil Porter and Katori Hall.
