Misshapen Theatre has announced the return of their science fiction theatre night BLAST OFF on Tuesday 10th July at 7pm in the Soho Theatre.

The latest episode of Blast Off brings together a brand new lineup of science-fiction plays by emerging writers Gabriel Bissett Smith (The Charming Man, Theatre503), Joshua Conkel (The Sluts of Sutton Drive, Finborough Theatre), Afsaneh Grey (Dust, Hampstead Theatre), Sara Pascoe (Stand Up for the Week, Channel 4) and Simon Anderson (Royal Court Young Writers Programme), alongside special comedy from John Luke Roberts (Spats, The Now Show, Radio 4).

The show is curated by sci-fi nerd Jonathan Brittain (The Sexual Awakening of Peter Mayo, Theatre503) and theatre nerds Lucy Jackson (Mudlarks, HighTide Festival Theatreand Claire Turner (The Girl in the Yellow Dress, Theatre503).

Misshapen Theatre’s first play The Wake won the Judges Award for Comedy at the National Student Drama Festival 2009 and performed to sell out audiences at The Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2010. Their double bill Phillipa and Will are Now in a Relationship and The Sexual Awakening of Peter Mayo were performed to rave reviews at The Pleasance Courtyard in Edinburgh and Theatre503 in London.
