STREETS Opens Today at Hackney Empire

STREETS is a brand new kind of musical with a live soundtrack, featuring an original score by young Scottish composer Finn Anderson, with music produced by Bless Beats, and Directed by Adam 'Bo' Boland. The music is performed live by musicians, singers, and beat boxer, Pikey Esquire.

This hard-hitting new piece of theatre puts a microscope on a group of friends growing up on London's streets, as they struggle to make ends meet and to carve out their future paths, making decisions that will shape the rest of their lives whilst falling in and out of love.

The play delves into the reasons why we make the choices we do. What if you were faced with something unimaginable? What factors caused it? What was inevitable? What could have been different? When did the beginning become the end?

'Streets' is gritty, real and a must see which will force you to question yourself...what would YOU do?

Streets completed a successful run at The Cockpit Theatre in April of this year, seeing a whole host of celebrity guests through its doors, including JLS, Idris Elba, Ashley Walters, Kimberley Wyatt and Rochelle Humes to name but a few. Streets also received critical acclaim and two Offie Nominations, for 'Best Musical Production' and Tori Allen-Martin and Sarah Henley for 'Most Promising New Playwright(s)'
