Marking the 50th anniversary of the 1962 publication of Ken Kasey's classic  American novel, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest will play a limited season at the Lost Theatre, Vauxhall from Wednesday March 14 - Saturday March 31.

Jailed for the statutory rape of a 15-year-old girl, anti-authoritarIan Randle Patrick McMurphy is transferred to a mental institution for evaluation. Although he does not show any outward signs of mental illness, he hopes to avoid hard labour and serve the rest of his sentence in a more relaxed hospital environment. But his unwillingness to comply and compassion for his fellow patients make him a prime target for the fearsome Nurse Mildred Ratched, who rules with a rod of iron. The constant power struggles between McMurphy and the nurse will have life changing consequences for all the patients...

The cast includes Dwayne Washington, Damien Tracey, James Unsworth, Annabel Capper, Stephanie Feeney, Bradley Williams, Lee Colley, Richard Vorster, Paul Cleveland, James Murphy, Bobby Bulloch, Sean Buchanan, Francis Adams, Thomas Barron, Amy Bell, Anita Gollschewsky, Tara Quinn, Hannah Lederer

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest was written after Ken Kesey spent time working the graveyard shift as an orderly at a mental health facility in Menlo Park, California. Director Paul Taylor-Mills' credits include Little Shop of Horrors (White Bear) nominated for four Off West End Awards, including Best Director; A Clockwork Orange (Lost Theatre); the European premiere of My Big Gay Italian Wedding (two sold-out seasons Above The Stag and C Venues, Edinburgh); and The?Best?Little Whorehouse in Texas (Union),  Off West End nomination for Best Director.
