Notion Theatre Company Presents DAYBREAK, June 5-30

Notion Theatre Company Presents the European premiere of Bobby Cronin's DAYBREAK. The musical has Words & Music by Bobby Cronin and Additional Lyrics by Brett Teresa. It is Directed by Hayley Cusick.

DAYBREAK will perform at TRISTAN BATES THEATRE 5th June – 30th June Tuesday – Sunday 7.30pm (No Matinees).

Daybreak is a non-traditional, coming-of-age musical journey about the troubled relationship of Dylan Ryan, a 40-year old painter and his in denial wife Rebecca, whose biological clock is ticking more loudly with each passing day. The real issue with their marriage? Dylan likes to sleep with men. As the couple moves into Dylan’s childhood home in San Francisco, the story of Dylan’s parents unfolds and intertwines as memories haunt the old house, which spirals Dylan further into darkness..."I pray for Daybreak to take away my heartache. Longing to set free the demons haunting me, wishing I could feel alright…"

An award-winning original musical makes this European Premiere.

Bobby Cronin is a composer/lyricist. His pop/rock musical with co-book writer Alicia Dempster called WELCOME TO MY LIFE (W2ML) is currently under a Broadway option. Other projects: DAYBREAK, winner the 2011 New Jersey State Playwrights Contest and will open for a limited run in Wayne, NJ in June 2012; 'TIL DEATH DO US PART (book by Allen Mogol); Kelly Nichols' TEN REASONS I WON'T GO HOME WITH YOU (winner of Outstanding Music & Lyrics at MITF, 2010); and THANK YOU, NEXT web-series for which Bobby was awarded " Best Original Web Score, Mockumentary Division". Bobby is the first American writer to pen an original piece (THE CONCRETE JUNGLE) for the esteemed London ArtsEd School, which will also open in June 2012. Bobby's performed concerts around the globe: he headlined the March 2009 Lincoln Center Songbook Series, made his Los Angeles debut in May 2010 at Show at Barre, and made his London debut in February 2011 with a sold out concert at The Players Theatre.
