The Hippodrome's live entertainment programme continues with a varied offering of music, burlesque, cabaret and more including a four night run from popular US songwriter Scott Alan, a concert celebrating the best of The Great British Musicals hosted by Nicholas Parsons, an exclusive preview of award-winning singer Sarah Jane Morris' new album, and the return of Mitch Winehouse's monthly residency in aid of The Amy Winehouse Foundation which will feature an array of very special guests.

MAY 2014:

Grand Order Of Lady Ratlings - Thursday 1st May (8pm / tickets from £10)

The Hippodrome is proud to host the first of many fund raising events for the GOLR. To celebrate the first event they have partnered with the finest performers from the world of 'Old Time Music Hall'. Its a true celebration of the colourful theatrical past of The Hippodrome. Some of the special guests include: Denise Nolan, Roy Hudd, Jan Hunt, Bella Emberg, Sue Douglas, Bryan Burdon, Andrew Van Buren and Allyson, Joane Hall, Victoria Yellop, Steve Rawlings, Paul Rhodes, Linda Watts, Kaplan Kaye, Ken Joy, Melody Kaye, Babs Bruce, Helen Jeckels, Taryn Kaye and Debbie Flitcroft.

Mari Wilson 'Am I The Same Girl - Mari sings Dusty' - Friday 2nd May (8pm / tickets from £20)

Mari Wilson (The Neasden Queen of Soul) first arrived on the scene in the early eighties with her skyscraper beehive hairdo, unique sense of fashion and fully choreographed twelve piece band The Wilsations. Mari's live shows were spoken about as an event - pure entertainment.

In 2000 Mari was the obvious choice to play the legend Dusty Springfield on the hugely successful nationwide tour of Dusty the Musical. Tonight Mari returns to The Hippodrome to pay homage to Dusty with her unique interpretations of the classic hits, along with some lesser-known gems.

Boom And Bang Circus - Friday 2nd May (11pm / tickets from £10)

London's stunning and exotic night time extravaganza featuring some of the UK's best young performance talent. If you are in town this is a must-see show.

The Definitive Rat Pack - Saturday 3rd May (8pm / tickets from £20)

The Rat Pack epitomised 'cool' in the 1960s. Their impromptu sell out shows caused a stir and attracted the rich and famous. It was a must have ticket to see the three artists joke and sing some of the finest songs ever written. The Definitive Rat Pack comprises three of the world's finest interpreters of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr and they present an authentic Rat Pack experience that to date has been seen live by more than 1 million people worldwide.

Soho Burlesque Club Late - Saturday 3rd May (11pm / tickets from £10)

Miss Polly Rae brings the Soho Burlesque Club's 'naughty little sister' to The Hippodrome on a Saturday evening for an outrageous late-night burlesque and cabaret soiree.

Sidney Bechet: My Father - Sunday 4th May (6pm / tickets from £10)

The launch of the book, "Sidney Bechet, My Father", authored by his son, Daniel-Sidney Bechet. Featuring a gig by Bechet and his band of UK musicians.

Madara Vilson - Monday 5th May (7.30pm / tickets from £10)

Award-winning Estonian-born singer Madara Vilson makes her headline concert debut in support of the British Lung Foundation. Featuring a seven-piece band including violin, accordion and four dancers.

Swing Revival - Tuesday 6th May (8pm / tickets from £6)

A warm Tuesday speakeasy band featuring the foot-tapping vintage sounds of Europe's hottest Swing and Gypsy Jazz artists. This week featuring music from Pinstripe Suit and Swing Dance Class by Pedro Coimbra.

Brother Strut supported by the Getup + special guests TBA - Thursday 8th May (8pm / tickets from £17.50)

Brother Strut are a new funk-soul band whose line-up has collectively performed on records that have sold over half-a-billion copies. A band of top session men that have worked with the likes of Stevie Wonder, Herbie Hancock, Amy Winehouse, The Temptations, Al Green, Elton John and Alicia Keys. "Good is not how I would describe this stuff at all. No. It's actually bloody brilliant. One of the best funk-soul albums I have heard for a long time. Certainly one of the hottest debuts of recent times on an independent label. 10/10? Blues & Soul magazine.

Scott Alan & special guests - Tuesday 13th - Friday 16th May (11pm / tickets from £18)

After last year's concert at the IndigO2, songwriter Scott Alan is back for four intimate concerts at the Hippodrome Casino. Alan will be joined by a rotating cast of special guests, to be announced closer to concert dates. Alan is currently in the studio recording his fifth album 'I'm Coming Home to You'; he is also working on the original musical 'Home', which is scheduled to make its world premiere in the autumn of 2014.

After a stream of requests to make a return appearance at the Hippodrome, Reuben Richards and his fantastic Soul Train headline on Saturday 17th May. Reuben will be performing original songs from his album, which is released this year. Special guest on the night will be guitar protégé, singer-songwriter Joe Boyd. Feted as "the cream of the independent music crop", Joe has recently released his new album 'Gutter Moon', recorded at Abbey Road Studios with Frank Arkwright (The Smiths, Oasis & Blur).

Lenny is a widely regarded, classically trained composer and outstanding guitarist with the rare ability to compose in a variety of styles. Cabaret star Velma Celli will be joined by some of the greatest stars from the West End, Burlesque and Circus world. Velma Celli is the alter-ego of West End performer and live events producer Ian Stroughair. Ian has already carved out a successful stage career in London Theatre having performed in smash hit West End productions including Cats, Fame, Chicago and most recently the principle role of Angel in the 20th anniversary concert tour of RENT.

The star of BBC TV's Any Dream Will Do performs an intimate concert at the Hippodrome's cabaret theatre. Keith has released two albums, achieved sell out tours and starred in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat as both the narrator and in the lead role of Joseph. He has performed for her Majesty the Queen and the Spanish Royal Family. Don't miss this wonderful evening of songs from musical theatre and some of Keith's personal favourites.

Fernando Montaño's Latin Extravaganza - Sunday 8th June (7pm / tickets from £35)

After last year's sell-out success, Children of the Andes Patron Fernando Montaño will be organising another gala evening, this time with a distinctly Latin twist. Fernando will be collaborating with Anglo-Colombian Phil Manzanera (Roxy Music lead guitarist) as well as Cuban-Colombian vocalist Alexis Mercedes, Spanish flamenco star Alberto Escobar and many others to showcase some of the very best in Latin American talent. Guests will be invited to join the artists for a champagne reception before the show. Fernando has been described as Colombia's Billy Elliot - he is a Royal Ballet dancer and muse to Vivienne Westwood.

The concert will preview songs from new album Bloody Rain and Richard Strange will interview Sarah Jane on stage before the concert starts.
