Much-Loved Folk Group The Dublin Legends to Visit Warrington Next Month
In 2012 The Dubliners celebrated 50 glorious years in the music business by receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards and rapidly followed it up with a sell-out UK concert tour, the highlight of which was a magical night at The Royal Albert Hall.
Sadly however, they subsequently suffered a body blow with the sudden death of founding member "Banjo" Barney McKenna. This tragic occurrence prompted the remaining members to sit down and discuss the band's future.
The outcome was that Sean Cannon, Eamonn Campbell and Patsy Watchorn decided, like the name of their live greatest hits album, it was "Too Late to Stop Now" and enlisted the services of Gerry O'Connor, to become The Dublin Legends.
Since then they have toured the world to huge critical acclaim, playing all the old classics including Whisky in the Jar, Dirty Old Town and The Wild Rover.
Tickets to see The Dublin Legends at Parr Hall on Thursday 23 March are on sale now by calling 01925 442345 or online at www.pyramidparrhall.com.
