Six actors will play a total of 16 characters in Propeller's pocket-sized adaptation of their own hit production of Shakespeare's The Comedy of Errors, from 26 September.
Jason Baughan and Richard Frame will play one pair of separated twins, while Dominic Tighe and Tam Williams will play the other (among other parts). Remaining roles will be played by Kelsey Brookfield and Jonathan Livingstone.The production will be directed by Edward Hall and designed by Michael Pavelka. Regular Propeller cast member Dugald Bruce-Lockhart will be Associate Director.Beginning in autumn, Pocket Comedy will play The Theatre, Chipping Norton and The Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury, as well as touring schools in Kent and across the South East.Pocket Comedy is part of Propeller's Pocket Propeller initiative, which started in 2009 with the international success of Pocket Dream - a 60-minute version of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream.All-male theatre company Propeller is renowned for combining a rigorous approach to the text with a physical aesthetic to create productions full of clarity, poetry, speed, and imagination.
