HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 2 LIVE ON STAGE! UK Regional Tour Begins
Following the success of High School Musical 3, producers recently announced that High School Musical 2 Live on Stage! will be performed throughout the UK. The show will premiere this summer at London's New Wimbledon Theatre on 22 August 2009 and will continue on a four-and-a-half month regional tour.
The book for High School Musical 2 Live on Stage! is by David Simpatico and was adapted from Peter Barsocchini's original script. The show is directed by Jeff Calhoun, with scenic design by Kenneth Foy and choreography by Lisa Stevens.
School's out and the East High Wildcats are ready to kick back and enjoy their summer. If they can land decent summer jobs, all will be right with the world. Troy Bolton can barely believe his luck when he's offered a job alongside Gabriella, Taylor, and Chat at Albuquerque's country club, Lava Springs. However, things are not what they seem. Troy's employment is all part of Sharpay's attempt at luring him away from Gabriella. Will Sharpay be successful? All this will be answered at the club's Midsummer Night's Talent Show.
High School Musical 2 Live on Stage! is produced in the UK by Stage Entertainment UK Ltd in association with Disney Theatrical Productions. The Co-operative Food is supporting.
