EDINBURGH 2010: BWW Reviews: EDGES (C Soco)
By: Carrie Dunn
A series of musical tableaux on the theme of love gone wrong, this is an interesting take from a very young cast.
Looking at all kinds of love, from macho bromances to sisterly conflicts to the breakdown of a marriage, the vocal quality was variable, leaving the sensitive listener yearning for the stronger singers to return to the stage at times (although most of the problems, such as nasally vowel sounds, can be fixed with some proper tuition). Largely, though, the cast did well with complex material, adopting a wide range of characters and portraying them convincingly to produce an absorbing and engaging show.
