Catherine Zeta-Jones Headlines 'Welcome To Wales' Concert, Sept. 29

According to ContactMusic.com Tony and Oscar Winner Catherine Zeta-Jones is set to perform in the 'Welcome To Wales' Concert to kick off the 2010 Ryder Cup golf tournament September 29.

Also performing in the concert will be Opera singer Katherine Jenkins and the male vocal choir Only Men Aloud.

Zeta-Jones told the Belfast Telegraph "I'm delighted to be back in Wales for this very special concert to mark the launch of this landmark event. To welcome the most prestigious and recognised event in the golfing calendar to Wales is a real honour. I don't think Wales has ever seen anything on this scale so it's very exciting to be part of it."

Tickets to the concert are £25 and are available online at www.ticketmaster.co.uk.

The 2010 Ryder Cup will take place at the Celtic Manor Resort in south Wales.Catherine Zeta-Jones won an Academy Award for her portrayal of Velma Kelly in the big screen version of Chicago. Other film credits include The Mask of Zorro, High Fidelity and Ocean's Twelve. A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC marks Zeta-Jones' Broadway debut.

Catherine Zeta-Jones recently finished her run starring alongsinde five-time Tony Award®-winner Angela Lansbury and Olivier Award-nominee Alexander Hanson star in the first Broadway revival of Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler's Tony Award-winning masterpiece A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC, directed by Tony Award®-winner Trevor Nunn. Zeta-Jones won the Tony award for her performance. The production opened on Sunday, December 13, 2009 at the Walter Kerr Theatre (219 West 48th Street).
