Cast Set for NEWSIES at Vanguard Theater This Summer
Amron Salgado leads as Jack Kelly at Montclair, NJ's Vanguard Theater in the season-closing production.
Vanguard Theater has revealed the official cast of its upcoming production of Disney's Newsies, running June 11 - 28 as the closing production of Vanguard's 2025/2026 season.
The cast of Newsies includes Amron Salgado as Jack Kelly, Charli Bush as Katherine, Sam Scriven as Davey Jacobs, DJ Clark as Crutchie, Tahphanese Braswell as Medda, Dan Maceyak as Pulitzer, Duane Banks as Snyder, Noah Akinyemi as Les, Sebastian Leak as Oscar Delancey, James Maloney as Morris Delancey, and Zay Tucker as Spot Conlon.
Featured Newsies and company members include Aaron Ballentine, Abby Scalici, Aidan Toth, Amir Samuels, Avery Mekhi Hannon, Ben Allen Carter, Donovan Lee, Eitan Dembrow, Isabel Wallach, Jasón M. Wells, Jonas Hinsdale, Joseph Amoroso, Kayla Kwok-Jun Nielsen, Marcus Cruz-Santiago, Mark Lovell, Mychal Leverage, Nicholas Page, Ryan Pereira, and Tyler Hepler.
The production is directed and produced by Janeece Freeman Clark, with choreography by Jasón M. Wells and music direction by Lucas Colón. The creative team also includes Assistant Director and Assistant Choreographer Amanda Lupacchino, Fight Choreographer Timothy Canali, and Dialect Coach Nathan Scott Hancock.
Elaina Misciagna serves as the Production Stage Manager, alongside Assistant Stage Manager CJ Holcomb. Scenic design is by Rodrigo Escalante, costume design by TJ Jenkins, lighting design by David Heguy, and sound design by Bryan Baik and Devon Campbell. Performances run June 11-28. Tickets start at just $25.
