Dawn Porter comes to Tulsa PAC this week. The event is set for April 12, 2024.
Dawn Porter has emerged as a leader in the art of documentary storytelling. Gideon’s Army, her first documentary as a budding director, followed the lives of three Black public defenders working in the South.
Critically acclaimed, it won an award at the Sundance Film Festival and was nominated for an Emmy. Her work has been featured on HBO, Netflix, CNN, PBS and other platforms.
Porter co-directed and produced the mental health documentary series “The Me you Can’t See,” which features a variety of illuminating interviews with Oprah Winfrey, Prince Harry, Lady Gaga and Glenn Close.
