《By Royal Appointment》排练照发布，主演为BAFTA奖项提名者Jane Asher和Samantha Womack。这部由Daisy Goodwin创作的新剧将于9月24日在Arts Theatre Cambridge首演，随后展开英国巡演。来看一组排练照吧。
Asher将饰演女王，Womack饰演她的服装师。演员阵容还包括Matthew Cottle饰帽匠、David Robb饰设计师以及Niamh Finlay饰策展人。该剧由Anthony Banks执导，Jonathan Fensom担任设计。
《By Royal Appointment》探讨了伊丽莎白二世女王与她服装师之间的关系，以及服装在塑造这位英国历史上在位时间最长君主的公开形象中所扮演的角色。
该剧深入幕后，揭示女王精心构筑的公众形象，从她所穿的外套与帽子到管理她服装团队的幕后人员。故事核心是女王与她的工人阶级服装师之间的关系，服装师的角色从建议口红颜色等细节，逐步发展为幕后颇具影响力的人物。
该制作是Goodwin的首次剧作。她后续的作品《Victoria: A Queen Unbound》于2026年4月在Watermill Theatre上演。Goodwin的电视编剧作品包括ITV历史剧《Victoria》，其小说作品涵盖《The Last Duchess》、《The Fortune Hunter》、《The American Heiress》、《Victoria》和《Diva》。她的制片作品包括《Grand Designs》和《Escape to the Country》。
《By Royal Appointment》将于9月24日在Arts Theatre Cambridge首演，演出至10月3日，随后巡演至Theatre Royal Nottingham、Chelmsford Theatre、York Theatre Royal、Chichester Festival Theatre、Edinburgh的King's Theatre及Canterbury的Marlowe Theatre。
