2019 Canadian Comedy Award winner, Andrew Lamb, directs new musical, Spend Your Kids' Inheritance at this year's Toronto Fringe with an all-star cast. In this reverse coming-of-age musical comedy-drama, four seniors plot to regain control of their finances and escape their southern Ontario retirement home. A newcomer upsets the status quo at Alpine Home, unleashing repressed desires and igniting conflict between staff and residents and their adult children. These struggles, and their dreams for their futures, create a bond between four of the home's residents. They embark on a journey that forces them to wrestle with the power of choice and its consequences, and that challenges stereotypes about age, love, family, friendship ... and freedom.Performances:Helen Gardiner Phelan Playhouse - 79A St. George Street (South of Harbord) July 4 @ 8:00 pmJuly 6 @ 12:45 pmJuly 8 @ 10:00 pmJuly 10 @ 8:15 pmJuly 12 @ 4:45 pmJuly 13 @ 4:30 pmJuly 14 @ 1:45 pm Tickets: $13 at the door, buy in advance at fringetoronto.com or 416-966-1062
