Its 1998. Jean Chrtien is Canadas Prime Minister and Alannis Morissette is still in the top 10 on the music charts. People are watching Friends on television, while Titanic and Shakespeare in Love reign at the box office. And in a big Canadian city on a Friday afternoon, six different stories are unfolding in six different offices. A dead horse, a domineering mother, a philandering agent, a desperate movie producer and a frustrated psychiatrist are dealing with their personal and office lives, but in Norm Fosters Office Hours, they, along with other zany characters, are hilariously intertwined in a delightful satire of the 9 to 5 life. The six sharp vignettes within the play intersect in amusing and sometimes, surprisingly emotional ways, with the connection between the diverse characters becoming apparent in a howling didnt see that coming finale. This is Norm Foster at his best and in true Foster style, he makes us laugh at our own humanity. The play will be performed on May 2, 3, and 4 and May 9, 10 and 11 at 7:30 PM in the Main Hall at the Tranzac Club, 292 Brunswick Avenue in Toronto..
