Yonge-Dundas Square (YDS) keeps the excitement of summer going with free events every week, including concerts with Indie Fridays, outdoor film screenings with City Cinema and a 10th Anniversary Party presented by Virgin Mobile.

City Cinema will make an offer audiences can't refuse in August with the Cohen Brothers classic MILLER'S CROSSING; a Joan Crawford double bill featuring STRAIT JACKET and MOMMIE DEAREST; some intergalactic goodness with SPACEBALLS and SERENITY; and the ultimate gangster film THE GODFATHER.

Indie Fridays brings an eclectic mix of Canadian artists to the square to kick off the weekend, including Polaris Prize nominated rapper Cadence Weapon, Montreal rootsy rock trio Plants and Animals and more.

YDS will celebrate its tenth anniversary as the heart of the city with a day packed with free live entertainment on Friday, August 9. Hosted by comedian Elvira Kurt, the celebration includes world class buskers, an interactive performance by Lemon Bucket Orkestra and an all-Canadian concert line-up including performances by Divine Brown, Royal Wood and SPIRIT OF THE WEST.
