Photo Flash: First Look at Ross Petty Productions' THE LITTLE MERMAID, Opening Tonight

Toronto is awash with excitement to celebrate the O-FISH-AL opening night of Ross Petty Productions' THE LITTLE MERMAID, tonight at 7pm at the Elgin Theatre. Ross Petty proudly celebrates the opening of his 18th consecutive pantomime on stage now through January 4, 2014, putting the sea in 'Holiday Season'! Musical theatre powerhouse, Chilina Kennedy, leads the show as the title mermaid, Angel, with a motley crew of fishy friends by her side including Carl the Clownfish, played by Second City funnyman Reid Janisse, who has also written this year's silly script. Stratford veteran Dan Chameroy returns with his sea-lacious Dame Plumbum and Marc Devigne, Canadian Idol season one finalist, stars opposite Kennedy as the buoyof her dreams.

Petty himself has traded in his spanks for scales to play Ogopogo the evil sea wizard wreaking havoc on the underwater world of the Toronto harbour. Radiant redhead JorDan Clark, winner of So You Think You Can Dance Canada season four and star of Family Channel's The Next StepTV series, makes her panto debut as Ogopogo's slithery assistant, while fan-favourite Eddie Glen returns as Petty's reluctant sidekick.

Shorely, Ross Petty's interpretation of Canada's mythical lake creature will bring a tsunami of boos and hisses at this year's family-friendly fractured holiday entertainment!
