Michael Rubinoff in association with Daryl Roth is proud to announce that the Canadian premiere of the award-winning, New York smash hit LOVE, LOSS, AND WHAT I WORE, an intimate collection of stories by sisters Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron - who together have written some of the most iconic romantic comedies in recent memory including the screenplay You've Got Mail (solo successes include Nora's Julie & Julia and Delia's The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants) - will play Toronto's Panasonic Theatre, July 16-September 4, 2010. Tickets go on sale to the public on Saturday, May 29.

Based on the best-selling book of the same name by Ilene Beckerman, as well as on the personal recollections of the Ephrons' friends, LOVE, LOSS, AND WHAT I WORE won the 2010 Drama Desk Award for Best Unique Theatrical Experience this past weekend in New York.

Like the book, LOVE, LOSS, AND WHAT I WORE is a collection of vignettes and monologues that uses clothing and accessories and the memories they trigger to tell funny and often poignant stories that all women can relate to.

This exciting theatrical event will feature a cast of five that rotates in four-week cycles. The first cycle, runs July 16 through to August 7. The August cycle runs August 10-September 4. Cast and full creative team will be announced shortly.

Following a series of benefit performances at New York's DR2 in early 2009, LOVE, LOSS, AND WHAT I WORE opened Off-Broadway at The Westside Theatre on October 1, 2009 to rave reviews and continues to play to capacity. New York casts have included Rosie O'Donnell, Kristin Chenoweth, Jane Lynch, Samantha Bee, Tyne Daly, Rhea Perlman, Carol Kane, Brooke Shields, Melissa Joan Hart, Fran Drescher and others. A Los Angeles company opened at the Geffen Playhouse on May 13, 2010; also earning raves, and has just been extended.

Columnist Liz Smith said, "It's sweet and saucy. This is an evening that goes directly to the heart, soul and vanity of every woman, young or old. The Ephron girls have touched our funny bones over the years, mended or predicted our broken hearts, commiserated over our bodies, made us laugh and get over it. Now we just have to line up at the box office."

The New York Times wrote that the "funny, compelling" piece "brought down the house," while Vanity Fair called it "wise and witty." Joan Hamburg of New York's WOR Radio raved "Get tickets! You will have such a good time! I sat there laughing my head off. It was a treat!"

A portion of the production's proceeds will benefit the Toronto chapter of Dress for Success. To find out more about the charity, please visit www.dressforsuccess.org/toronto.
